About Us
The Beaufort Dance Company (TBDC) was founded in 2023 by the Director and Owner Laura Dansky. TBDC was formed after the purchase of Beaufort Academy of Dance, a dance studio with a 26 (1997-2023) year tradition of excellence in the Beaufort area. The highly qualified staff, innovative choreography, supportive atmosphere and high expectations that became hallmarks of Beaufort Academy of Dance will continue to be the foundation of TBDC. TBDC believes that their dancers learn a whole lot more than just dance technique when they attend classes. Leadership, collaboration, kindness, and responsibility are a few of the skills and traits that the dance instructors are committed to instilling in their dancers.
TBDC offers classes for students starting at 18 months in the Parent and Tot classes and continues with opportunities for recreational and competition dance through age 18 years. Our instructors offer recreational classes in a wide variety of dance styles throughout the year, as well as the opportunity to audition for the competition Dance Team that travels all over the southeast showcasing their talents.
